Help Us Get to Summer

There are MANY ways that you can help us get to Summer 2025 from wherever you are!

THANK YOU FOR VISITING!

There is no way that we could accomplish all that we do without partnerships at EVERY level of our ministry!

Perhaps you are able to come help us finish up some construction projects or help with light-landscaping/yardwork. Just maybe the Lord has better equipped you to help supply one of our many needs to help us live out our mission to serve at Springs of Life Camp.

Below is a list of projects, specific needs, and opportunities to help equip us for Summer 2025!

On-Site

Service Opportunities

Construction Projects:

The final 2 areas for this phase of the restoration of Springs of Life Camp is the Downstairs of the Dorms and the Swimming Pool area.

Dorms: Most of the building materials are already on site, however the following are items that still need to be funded to completion…(Paint, Epoxy for Showers, Electrical Conduit and Fasteners, Water Heaters and some Piping, Bunk Beds, Mattresses, and HVAC)

Swimming Pool: While this project in itself is estimated at nearly $500,000 to be fully restored and brought to “code”, we believe that with enough elbow grease we can achieve our goal to provide Campers with a place to keep cool this summer…(Kudzu/Foliage removal, Fencing repair, Plumbing {filters, skimmers, pumps}, Surface Cleaning, and Crack repairs)

Routine Maintenance:

With about 40 acres of space, there’s a lot for our staff to maintain throughout the warmer months.

Landscaping/Yardwork: One of the most encouraging things for our community is the intentional curb-appeal for the property. We have made mowing and manicuring a priority over the years and it has definitely made a difference. Be a part of a short-term or long-term maintenance team strategy and help us keep the foliage tamed.

Equipment/Supply Needs: With routine expenses and equipment wear and tear over the years, here is a list of items and tools that we desire. Commercial Test Weed Eater Line, Stihl Weed Eater with harness, Commercial Grade Zero Turn Mower, Tractor equipment for dirt/tree/rock moving, and Gift Cards for Fuel.

Staff Equipping

Opportunities

Financially Support a Summer Staffer:

This year we are praying for 15-20 Summer Staffers to be a part of this year’s ministry team!

The Staff: We largely have no clue who our staff will be or where they will come from, however with more than 50 years of ministry experience, we are confident that God will once again assemble the perfect team this year. To that, most staffers are between 15 and 20 years old, some have been campers in the past while others are completely new to Bible Camp, yet ALL have a passion for serving.

The Call to Serve on Staff @ SoLC: We approach each ministry season as an intentional missions opportunity. With that, many of the staffers have opportunities to find a “traditional” summer job that will help them save up for a vehicle, college, or other expenses they may have at their age. Our weekly goal for the funds raised in the Creekside Cafe (formerly the Snack Shop) helps to pay the staff a small stipend for their service, however we encourage each one to attempt to raise additional financial support as they serve throughout the summer.

The Opportunity to Financially Support a Staffer: You don’t have to know someone on Summer Staff personally to understand the sacrifice some are making to spend their summer at Camp. On the other hand, most of them consider the early mornings, fast paced-hot-humid environments with little to no down-time, and extremely late nights, an absolute joy and privilege! To that, please consider the opportunity to financially give towards the service of this year’s Summer Staff.

For easy tracking of financial giving, please make any sized financial contributions to: Springs of Life Camp (memo: Staffer Support (include the name of a specific staffer if so desired- otherwise all support will be split up evenly at the end of the summer); P.O. Box 73, Patrick Springs, VA 24133

Since we keep a record of financial giving through Springs of Life Camp, you will receive a statement of giving for your tax-records at the end of 2025.

“The Joys of Life CCCC’s” Supply Drive:

“Cans, Chips, Candy, and Cash (for Ice Cream)” Supply Drive to help stock the Creekside Cafe (formerly the Snack Shop).

The Creekside Cafe: Tucked under the Chapel is the one of the most popular spots during Summer Camp! Be it a free-time snack, after Chapel sugar fix, or stocking up for the long trip home after an exciting week, the “Cafe” is a fun opportunity for campers to shop, while financially supplementing the staff’s service for the summer!

The CCCC Supply Drive: This movement began about 15 years ago to help launch the opening of Summer Camp and to see out our goals with concessions proceeds. In the weeks ahead of opening for Summer Camp, local churches and other organizations come together to collect Canned Drinks (Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and other familiar brands); Chips (boxes of Lays Brand assortments); Candy (Chocolate Bars, Sour Goodies, and other familiar candies); and Cash or Gift Cards (to purchase ice cream and other frozen goodies).

Participate in the CCCC Supply Drive: Simply share this need with your local church leadership, small group, or in your workplace. Start collecting items for the Cafe around the middle of May; then contact us by June 7th to arrange a time to deliver what has been collected or to schedule a time for someone to come pick collections up!
